From collected funds,
to shared responsibility.
In this page we explore in detail how the process works, from collecting money to the distribution to initiatives.
Building the shared fund
Support comes from different funds and from individuals around the world, especially Youth Section co-workers. These contributions come together in one shared pool of money. The fund begins with a simple act: gathering resources so they can later be distributed together.
Choosing where support can go
Applications are reviewed and selected according to shared criteria.
The project must be initiated by young people.
The project leader should make at least a minimal contribution to the overall budget.
The project idea should resonate with anthroposophical ideals and work with Anthroposophy.
Co-workers’ Gathering
Selected project representatives come together at the Co-workers' Gathering, meeting one another in person. Before decisions are made, there is time to meet, listen, and enter a shared process.
Day 1 | Open Day
The process begins with introductions and project presentations. Each project is brought into the room so everyone can begin from a shared understanding.
Day 2 | Focus Session
Participants pause on their own view, listen carefully, and enter into the reality of the other. Questions, drawings, and conversation help each project be seen more fully.
Day 3 | Giving and Receiving
Participants receive the money as real stones, each one carrying a specific amount. Holding them in their hands, they can give those stones only to others. In this way, money becomes visible, tangible, and relational, a shared act of giving and receiving.
Day 4 | Feedback and future
The group looks back on what happened, shares feedback, and considers what can be learned for the future of the fund.
Reporting & Consulting after the Gathering
The process does not end with the meeting. Projects continue with reporting, consultation, and shared learning so support can keep growing in a conscious way.
