The Round Table Youth Fund was created to support young people developing initiatives inspired by anthroposophy.
The Round Table Youth Fund is a youth-led fund built on solidarity, mutual trust, and the principle of brotherhood. Its central idea is simple but unusual: resources are gathered from both large institutions and grassroots fundraising, then distributed among young people and youth groups, who are also invited to contribute to the fund in whatever way they can. Rather than a distant committee deciding who deserves support or how the resources should be used, those who receive the funds then enter a shared social process around a round table, where needs, initiatives, and possibilities can be seen and considered collectively.
In addition to financial support, the Fund fosters collaboration, shared learning, and long-term relationships between projects, contributors, and the wider community. Funding becomes part of an ongoing process rather than a one-time transaction.
At its heart, the Round Table Youth Fund asks: how can we collect resources together, and how can we distribute them in a way that serves the life and development of others?
What if funding itself became a social practice?
Every meaningful initiative begins with a person willing to take responsibility for something larger than themselves. The role of this fund is to help create the conditions in which those initiatives can take root, develop, and find the support they need to flourish.
What Does the Fund Support?
The fund supports young people in two main ways: by helping them take part in international gatherings, and by supporting anthroposophical projects initiated by young people. Yet the deeper purpose is not only financial. It is a practical experiment in how money can become a bridge between people: a way of strengthening trust, sharing responsibility, and allowing each initiative to be carried by a wider community.
Rather than a one-time transaction, funding becomes part of an ongoing process of collaboration and shared learning between projects, contributors, and the wider community.
Why “Round Table”?
Around a round table, every voice can be heard. Resources are distributed through dialogue, trust, and shared responsibility rather than competition.
The name itself reflects the social process behind the initiative: no head of the table, no one above the process: just people, facing each other, deciding together.
The Goal of 2027
Our next goal is to raise USD 50,000 in advance of the Global Youth Section Co-workers' Gathering in summer 2027.
This fund will support young people from around the world, from many countries and life situations, to meet, work together, and bring their initiatives into the world.
Every contribution creates access to travel, to collaboration, to shared learning, and to the experience of a global youth community.
By supporting our 2027 goal, donors help the Round Table Youth Fund continue its experiment in solidarity: helping young people gather around one table, recognize one another's needs, and move resources toward the places where they can become most alive.
