The — Fund is an independent youth-led granting organization that provides seed funding for youth-led projects inspired by Anthroposophy around the world. The idea was shaped during the annual Co-workers' Gathering in June 2023 at the Goetheanum. Friends who were present in June felt deeply inspired to give to one another what we could. We asked every affiliated project or group of the Youth Section to contribute something to this fund, no matter how large or small the donation. A donation of a dollar is a symbolic gesture, a signature, setting a clear intention to recognize that support is mutual between all groups from all places.

A working group brought this idea into reality with the support of the network. It was established out of an ideal to work collectively with resources, to put whatever one can afford into this collective fund, and to take from it when needed to strengthen local initiatives and to be able to attend coworker gatherings. In 2024 the fund solely supported youth leaders to attend the annual Co-workers’ Gathering in the Netherlands. In 2026 this fund supported four projects from four different continents, providing resources to emerging initiatives.  

At the 2026 Co-Workers Gathering, a working group took on the task of developing this initiative and creating an independent bank account for the Project Fund. This initiative will now operate separately from the finances of the Youth Section at the Goetheanum, but will also seek to have contributions from all the youth section groups around the world, as well as fundraise additionally to support youth-led initiatives that are in need of seed funding. This fund will also provide resources to representatives from active youth section groups to attend the Co-Workers Gathering, which is essential for the in-person distribution of funds through a social process, and for sharing the projects that different groups are engaged in, as well as the development of co-working relationships that span the globe.
